Norm and nine other American runners participated wih five Ethiopian runners in a run that covered 248 miles in 11 days. The purpose of the run was to raise money to build Ethiopian schools, as well as to raise awareness of the needs of the Ethiopian people. The group's goal was to raise $150,000, and to date more than $208,000 has been raised. Norm described the great spirit of the Ethiopian people and said that he planned some day to return (without running 30 miles a day!).
