Today Amanda McLaren gave us an update on the Benzonia Public Library which she has served as Director for the last nine years.
While Amanda describes the library as a small one, she and her staff have secured significant grants in service of the library's mission of "preserving yesterday, enriching today, inspiring tomorrow in our community." The library does much more than provide books and other reading material. Available services include free internet 24/7, wireless printing and public computers.
With the support of the Benzie Audubon Club the library makes binoculars available for birdwatching, and though the generosity of Lisa Musgrave ice skates are offered in the winter. Programs available this time of year include Summer Reading 2023, a Plant Diagnostic Clinic and a program June 28th on the First Emperor of China.
