Hunter Steinkamp is the Director of Operations at the Crystal Community Ski Club (CCSC), a non-profit established in 2018 that offers a variety of core Alpine and Nordic ski programs for kids aged 7 through 18.
As Hunter explained in his PowerPoint presentation, CCSC engages youth through an inclusive and accessible environment to promote physical and mental health and foster a lifelong passion for the outdoors. More than 970 youth participate in CCSC's programs each year.
CCSC says it offers something for everyone--from rank beginner to racers traveling the state to compete. Alpine programs include:
- Freestyle Camp
- Master the Mountain
- Middle School Race Team
- Race Academy
- Holiday Race Camps
Nordic Programs include:
- Nordic Rocks School Program
- Nordic Squirrels (grades 3-5)
- Middle School Nordic Ski Team
- High School Nordic Ski Team
- Rollerski Summer Camp
Teen Leadership Programs include:
- Junior Ski Patrol
- Junior Instructor
- Mountain Movers Teen Group
