Camille Hoisington is Head of Strategic Projects at Traverse Connect.  Traverse Connect launched the "Michigan's Creative Coast" program this past June "to lead the charge to enhance the creative economy in the Grand Traverse Region."

Camille explained that Creative Coast is a placemaking and marketing initiative to enhance the Grand Traverse Region's creative, entrepreneurial and innovative economy by attracting new talent. In pursuit of that goal the group has developed a 12-part podcast series exploring the stories of entrepreneurs who have made Traverse City home.  Access to the podcast is available through the organization's new website at michiganscreative.coast.com.

Coming this fall will be "Creative Coast Guide:  A Guide to Great Creatives of the Grand Traverse Region."  Also available through the website is Creative Coast's Guide for Moving Here, which includes a Job Board and Spotlight on Companies, as well as access to the Creative Coast newsletter.  The website also will provide access to 13 Northern Navigators who will be regional connectors for those considering setting up shop in our area.

In the Q&A session Camille talked about her Irish background and answered such critical questions as whether the Guinness stout on tap in Ireland is better than what is available here (it is, she says).
