Benzie Central High School's Science Olympiad Team was one of the recipients of funds following the Foundation's recent quarterly review of grant applications. Some of the Team members are pictured here with their coach, Jalen Williams.
The Foundation awarded a total of $4,576 to support a variety of educational activities in Benzie County:
- $3,000 to Advocates for Benzie County in support of the organization's START building trades program
- $500 to Blaine Church Boy Scout Troop #10 in support of the Troop’s upcoming trip to Alaska
- $500 to Benzie Central High School Choir to support the group’s trip to Chicago
- $360 to Benzie Central High School Science Olympiad Team
- $216 to Benzie Central Schools for the purchase of a griddle for each school cafeteria in the district
