Dr. Jane Millar, a former Rotary International District 6290 District Governor, visited our club from Petoskey to let us know about the upcoming Council on Legislation which will convene in April.
 
The Council on Legislation is an international, legislative body made of of a representative from each of the Rotary districts around the world.  In April, all of the representatives, of which Dr. Millar is one, will meet in Evanston, IL to review several hundred proposals for changes in the Rotary International bylaws and procedures.  Dr. Millar shared some of the proposals with our club to get our input/opinions.  Some of the proposals discussed included Flexibility in Club Meeting Attendance - allowing each club to set its own rules, Removal of Admission Fees for New Members, Amend a provision related to the composition of the club membership and to accept "Homemaker" as a profession, a proposal to create a 21st Century Rotary Museum in Evanston, IL as well as a few others.
