Jessica Guest-Felsk described her transition from social worker to mother to Matilda Jane Clothing Company trunk keeper.
A veteran of the Peace Corps and former social worker, Jessica told of her entry into the world of retail sales. Matilda Jane is a Fort Wayne-based company that sells clothes designed by a woman in Harbor Springs. Its sales are made by 275 "trunk-keepers" like Jessica throughout the country. These women take their goods to private homes, where the hostess and 8 or 9 of her friends examine (and hopefully purchase!) the products. One reason that Jessica is happy with her new position is the company's support for Habitat for Humanity and a variety of other charitable organizations.
