Benzonia Public Library: Who knew?!
Amanda McLaren, Director of the Benzonia Public Library, overwhelmed us with the many services and programs offered for the community. Of particular interest were the weekly makers program where participants get to create their own projects, Story Time with Miss Desiree (wife of our very own Matt Olson), cooking demos by Anna ( a 16 year-old former intern at the Cook's House), Lego Saturdays, and Prime-time Family Reading Time (dinner, story and a discussion).
The Summer Reading Program has 245 registered for reading at 3 on Thursday afternoons during the summer. And the list goes on...and on. Check out their website to learn more.
No wonder they won the 2016 Michigan Excellence in Library Services award!
