Reading is Fundamental, Fall 2020

The Benzie Sunrise Rotary Club recently launched this year’s Reading is FUNdamental “RIF” program with 1st graders at the three Benzie Central elementary schools. An addition was made to RIF this year. Thanks to the generosity of Pet Smart of Traverse City and the Benzie Sunrise’s involvement with the Read to Me network of the Traverse Bay region, each child was able to select a stuffed animal to take home. The only condition was that children needed to promise that they would read to their animal for 15 minutes each night.
