Club President Jim Drubert conducted today's Club Assembly.
The first order of business was the election of two trustees on the Club Board of Directors.  Jack Harnish and Kim Simon were elected.

The club is still in need of a Membership Committee co-chair to work with the Immediate Past President.  Please contact President Jim or President-elect Val to learn more about the role.  Currently, it entails holding a couple of committee meetings each year and organizing the new member orientation.

With respect to District and International Grants a more formal process is needed, with more Club input.

In April we will return to hybrid meetings. On May 7th, Sunrise @ Sunset will be held at the Historical Museum.  Subsequent Sunrise at Sunset get-togethers will be at St. Ambrose, one of our Bike Benzie Sponsors.

Graduate Recognition at Benzie Central will be the same as last year, with funds allocated for yard signs plus an ad to be run at Garden Theater.

We are not sending any Interact members to the Leadership Conference this year due to scheduling conflicts.  A strong membership for next year's High School Interact Club is anticipated.  One activity in April will be meeting with the Interactor from the Frankfort High School Club who is going on the District's Interact spring break service project in El Salvador.

A "visioning" session is planned for Saturday, April 27th.  All members are urged to attend this action-planning session covering such topics as future service projects and fundraisers.

Terry Taylor provided an enthusiastic update on PETS. Among other things the training covered Rotary's Core Values:
  • Fellowship
  • Integrity
  • Diversity
  • Service
  • Leadership
Terry & Jim believe we should send the President Nominee along with the President Elect to the training each year.

Jim concluded with a discussion of the 2024-2025 budget.  The budget may be tweaked in several areas, including a different dues structure for young professionals and an additional charge to cover the cost of breakfasts.
