Ric Morency, a partner at STC Executive Search, shared with the club his strategy on ensuring the best individuals are selected during the hiring process. 
Ric provided members with his practices on how to identify and hire "A players" for an organization to ensure people with the competencies necessary to move the organzation to the next level are on board.  Ric stressed the importance of ensuring that new employees already possess certain core competencies, such as intelligence, integrity, ambition and passion, as these are competencies that are very difficult to develop.  Competencies such are communications, education and political savvy are areas that are relatively easy to develop in the workplace.  Ric's passion for his work was quite evident and is no doubt of great value to his customers.
