Lt. Dan Schrader, a helicopter pilot at the U.S. Coast Guard Air Station in Traverse City, shared with the club the duties and responsibilites of the Coast Guard.

He also spent time highlighting the incredible amount of community service that members of the Coast Guard engage in throughout their careers. From involvement with Special Olympics, Boy Scouts/Girl Scouts, Mentoring, Food Drives, Community Festivals, Military Funerals, Career Days at Local Schools, etc., members of the Coast Guard have a major impact on improving the lives of those in our community and are great role models for the youth in our area.
