Fellow Club member Bob described his 65-year love affair with Crystal Lake.
Beginning with his parents' purchase of what became the Hill 'n Dale Resort, Bob traced his personal history on the lake. He tied in historical events such as the inception of local rail service in 1887 and the demise of such service in 1985. Forming the Crystal Lake Property Rights Association (CLPRA) in 1986 was among the steps Bob has taken to pursue his mission of keeping the lake pristine. An issue currently of concern to Bob is the introduction of invasive species by boats coming onto the lake from other bodies of water.
