An Update on The First Tee

The First Tee is a charitable nonprofit that teaches young people life skills and character education through the game of golf.  The Nine Core Values it seeks to instill are honesty, integrity, sportsmanship, respect, confidence, responsibility, perseverance, courtesy and judgment.

 

The First Tee operates through chapters throughout the country and beyond, one chapter being The First Tee of Northern Michigan. Crystal Mountain is a participating location for The First Tee of Northern Michigan, and through our Annual Golf Outing we support the efforts of Crystal Mountain in that regard.

 

In addition to the basic 9-week program for young golfers (ages 5-17), this year Crystal Mountain will incorporate the life skills piece of the First Tee program into its extensive Junior Golf Program, as well as its Family Program. This should maximize the exposure for this worthwhile program.
